Military Personnel Flight

In the Air Force, a Military Personnel Flight (MPF) is a unit within the Force Support Squadron (FSS) that provides comprehensive personnel support to active duty, Guard, Reserve, and retired military personnel, as well as civilian employees and their families. The MPF handles a wide range of services, including managing military careers, ensuring eligibility for entitlements, and administering personnel actions.

Key Functions of the MPF

Customer Support

This includes issuing ID cards, managing DEERS (Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System), and handling passport requests.

Career Development

The MPF assists with outbound assignments, reenlistments, extensions, promotions, and retirements.

Force Management

This area focuses on managing evaluations, awards, decorations, and other personnel actions.

Base In-processing

The MPF is often the first point of contact for newly assigned personnel, guiding them through the necessary steps to get settled at the base.

This can include line of duty determinations, special duty pay, and other specialized actions.
