Play “The 1800” at the 6th Annual Air Force Worldwide National Golf Day Tournament

Golfers! Come play in a worldwide event with over 3,000 participants. The sixth annual Air Force Worldwide National Golf Day Tournament is coming to an Air/Space Force course near you in May. For installation-specific details, contact your nearest AF Golf Course.

Air Force Golf hosts this annual worldwide tournament to reinforces the sport’s emotional, social, physical, and environmental benefits. Fifty-two courses, one format and over 3,000 golfers will participate in this unique tournament.

The format for this year’s tournament it “The 1800.” Each hole is set at 100 yards. Seasoned golfers and newcomers to the sport are welcome. You’ll probably not need driver but bring your polished short game. While the yardage is friendly, the pin placement may not always be.

National Golf Day is observed each year in early May where leaders meet with Members of Congress, the Executive Branch, and federal agencies to discuss golf’s economic and societal contributions.

The Air Force tournament was conceived by Air Force Golf to recognize and celebrate the contribution of golf to the physical, mental, and social health of our Airmen and Guardians. With over 3,000 participants annually, Air Force Golf is the only entity hosting a worldwide event of this magnitude.

The golf industry in the U.S. supports over 2 million jobs, generates significant tax revenue, and includes more than 15,000 diverse businesses. Air Force golf courses are not funded by Congress. These courses are run as businesses to support those who defend our country.
