The AFSVC’s partnership with the Association of National Advertisers (ANA) is crucial to the growth of Air Force and Space Force marketing personnel. The ANA is a leading network of industry brands offering valuable insights and training. At the MilMark 2024 Workshop and Association of National Advertisers (ANA) In-house Agency Conference you will:

The 2025 MilMark Workshop (June 10 & 11) will offer customized training for military marketers. You’ll learn how to apply ANA lessons in a military context, renew and build peer connections, and share best practices. Discuss and analyze common challenges and solutions, and engage directly with AFSVC personnel.

You will receive industry-proven marketing strategies plus Air Force/Space Force-specific tactics to make you a better, more efficient marketer.

Instructors

The MilMark Workshop session is led by VSM Director, David Collins who will lead attendees through a variety of topics, strategies and upcoming projects. The session provides ample opportunities for questions and feedback from attendees.

The ANA session of the MilMark Workshop session will be led by an experienced ANA professional (TBA) and will use an Air Force business case.

For those attending the conference in person, the ANA has negotiated a special room rate of $319 per night at the host venue plus taxes and fees. Subject to availability.

Pricing

Consult with your Leadership and/or FSS Resource Manager (RM) regarding funding availability and to identify method necessary to secure registration and travel as it will vary base to base.

  • ANA In-House Agency Conference registration fee: complimentary for our client-side membership
  • Travel (i.e., airfare, ground transportation)
    • Transportation rates will vary depending on originating location
  • Lodging
    • For those registered to attend the conference in person, the ANA has negotiated a special room rate of $319 per night plus taxes and fees at the host venue. The cut-off date to obtain this discounted rate is May 19, 2025 and is subject to availability.

    • Please note, a limited number of hotel rooms are available at this rate. If there is no availability, please use DTS to select another hotel in the local area.
Tax Exemption

Upon checking into your hotel, show proof of your government employment to be exempted from federal, state and local taxes and use a tax- exempt form provided by your RM.

How do I obtain an ANA account aligned with Air Force Services Marketing Client-Side Membership?

Follow these steps:

  1. Visit ANA.net
  2. Under the Membership tab click Create Account
  3. Fill out form
    • Use your .mil when prompted for a company email
    • Enter “Air Force Services Marketing” when prompted for a company
    • Use your .mil when prompted for company email
  4. Submit form
  5. Go to MyFSS
  6. Click the MySERVICES box
  7. Choose Marketing from the menu on the left
  8. Fill out the form
  • Select ‘Marketing Questions/Inquiries’ in Category drop-down
  • Use the subject line ‘Align ANA account’
  • Click ‘Next’ to submit your request
Why is the conference registration fee showing an amount more than the anticipated $0 cost?

There are several reasons this could be happening. First confirm:

  1. Ensure you are logged in to your ANA account.
    Make sure your ANA account been aligned with AFSVC’s
  2. Client-Side Membership.
    If not, submit a MyFSS case
Do I need a code to register for the ANA In-House Agency Conference?

No, a code is not necessary to receive the discounted registration price.

It’s been a while since I’ve logged into my ANA account, how do I reset my password?

Use the Forgot Password link

Submit a MyFSS case requesting reactivation of your ANA account

My Squadron has funds to send additional marketing personnel. Can they attend?

Yes. They can attend on a space available basis. Please check availability before RSVPing by submitting a MyFSS case.

What happens if I registered for the conference but find out I cannot attend?

Below is ANA’s cancellation policy:

  • A full refund for in-person registration will be granted if written request for cancellation is received by email 30 or more calendar days before the conference start date. You may also transfer your registration to a colleague at no additional cost.
  • In-person registration may be converted to virtual at any time before the conference starts. If there is a price difference, a refund will be granted 30 or more calendar days before the conference starts. If registration is converted less -+than 30 days out, no refund will be granted.
  • Unused registrations/applications have no monetary value and cannot be credited to future years or events.
  • ANA will not issue refunds or credits due to failure to redeem a discount promo code during the registration process.
  • Hotel room cancellations and changes must be made directly with the hotel.
  • Miscellaneous:
    • The conference agenda is subject to change.
    • A portion of your guest room rate will be used to offset conference costs.
    • ANA accepts no responsibility for the loss of, or damage to, personal property.

I prefer to attend virtually with my team. Is this possible?

Yes, you can attend the ANA In-House Agency Conference virtually. Virtual registration is complimentary with our Client-Side membership. Keep in mind, only the person registering will receive credit/CEUs which apply towards maintaining CAMP certification.

A virtual option for the Milmark Workshop will not be offered.

Is Air Force Services helping to offset the costs of attending?

No. FSS leadership is asked to support Marketing Director attendance through unit funding.

I am a Marketing Director and cannot attend. Can I send someone from my department to go in my place?

Yes. We recommend the person chosen is one who acts as the Marketing Director in your absence.

What’s in it for my leadership?

Your leadership will gain a more valuable team member. Your skills as a marketer have a direct impact on the FSS bottom line. Your leadership has been urged to support your participation in this event.
