Eligible Patrons
Patron groups that are authorized to use Air Force and Space Force morale, welfare, and recreation (MWR) facilities, equipment and services include:
- Active-duty military personnel & their family members
- Activated Reservists
- Retired military personnel
- Department of Defense Civilian personnel
- Foreign National employees assigned and working directly for the DOD installations overseas
The Department of Defense expanded some MWR program eligibility to:
- Veterans with a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) documented disability rating
- Purple Heart recipients
- Veterans who are Medal of Honor recipients
- Veterans who are former prisoners of war
- Individuals approved and designated as primary family caregivers of eligible veterans enrolled under the Department of Veterans Affairs Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Caregivers
Many Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) facilities and services area also available to U.S. Government Contractors. Always check with your staff at your local MWR facility or office to check eligibility.
